A to Z of Food Storage

Baked goods (including bread)

Best Storage:

Room temperature or freezer

Keep in an airtight container or beeswax wrapper away from heat and light. Keep bread in a bread box or bread bag. Hard crusted breads are best stored in a paper bag. If you don't eat it all within a few days, transfer to the freezer sealed in an airtight bag or container. The fridge will often dry baked goods out.

Freezer?

Yes - most can be frozen.

Section cakes or loaves into portions so you only need to remove what’s needed later. Flash freeze on a tray for a couple of hours and then transfer to a container in your freezer.

Use it up!
