A to Z of Food Storage

Best Storage:

Room temperature eg. cupboard

Keep in airtight container in cool dark place.

To freeze, portion into ice cube trays for easy removal.

Use it up!

Use to preserve herbs. If you’ve used lots of oil in cooking eg. deep frying, it can be re-used by straining through a fine mesh sieve or piece of cheesecloth to remove food particles once cooled. Place it in a labelled container in your fridge or freeze for up to 6 months. Ensure your label includes what food the oil was used to cook with, so it can be used in cooking with compatible flavours.
