A to Z of Food Storage

Best Storage:

Keep in airtight container in the fridge

Freeze cream in a container making sure you remove a little to allow for expansion, or portion into ice cube trays and freeze to ensure you can remove smaller amounts for later use. Got leftover sour cream? Pop it in the freezer! It’s texture will change once defrosted, so use it in cooked dishes.

Use it up!

Once frozen, cream should be defrosted in the fridge and then mixed to recombine fats. Once defrosted, heavy cream will still whip. If you plan to use it for cooking, add it while frozen.
Use it up by adding to pastas and soups. Or make your own sour cream or butter!
