A to Z of Food Storage

Broth

Best Storage:

Fridge

Keep in a sealed container.

Freezer?

Yes

Divide your broth into useable portions to allow enough to be defrosted at a time eg. 1 cup, 1L. Store it in sealed freezer containers and label with the type of broth, volume and date made/frozen. Alternatively, freezing broth in icecube trays is a great way to easily remove tablespoon portions for later use.

Use it up!

Use up broth as a recipe base for cooking, in soups, rissotto, casseroles, gravy and sauces. Make your own broth using leftover food scraps! Collect veggie ends and peels, or bones and meat scraps and pop them in a container in your freezer until you have enough to use.
