Michelle Burns, the CONC Regional Emergency Relief Coordinator is returning home to her native New Zealand after almost 13 years in Australia and 7 years with the Mid-Richmond Neighbourhood Centre.

Michelle has been in the coordinator role for over 5 years and will be leaving at the end of November to complete the necessary quarantine with her hubby and pet  dogs and still  make it  home to be with their family for Christmas.  There is also an exciting change in career for Michelle who is taking on the family owned and operated garden wholesale business in Te Anau on the west coast of the beautiful South Island.

On behalf of North East Waste and our member councils, we’d like to wish Michelle well for the future and say a big heart felt ‘thank you’ for the wonderful work she has done along with the CONC team, to support and expand food relief through the Food Recovery Far North Coast program and emergency relief more broadly across the region. We hope to be able to welcome a new Coordinator to the role in the near future.
